The Firm

Tax Plus is a small firm providing tax preparation, bookkeeping, and information technology services for clients in Charlottetown and the surrounding areas.  We also have the tools necessary to provide services and assistance to clients remotely.  Effective November 1, 2023, services are being provided remotely, with in-person meetings available as required.  Our mandate is to provide high quality, personal service to clients at fair and reasonable prices.

The Owner

Robert (Rob) MacKay is married to Tammy and has eight children.  He likes to travel with his family and has a keen interest in information technology.  Rob began his career working with a large tax preparation company in Charlottetown for nearly a decade.  For the next two years, he worked as the controller for a non-profit organization in Summerside, after which he returned to university to pursue the Chartered Accountant designation.  In 2006, he was granted the Bachelor of Management Degree from the University of Lethbridge and became a Chartered Accountant in April 2009.  Two months later, he opened his own public accounting firm which, in 2017, evolved into two companion businesses - Tax Plus and Robert MacKay Professional Business Services.  Rob recently completed a six year term as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Island Nature Trust.
